Hilton's HHonor Points and American Airlines travel

Posted by isaac on Fri, 04/06/2007 - 1:30pm in

So I have an account with Hilton's HHonors reward system and I am a Platinum Flier with American Airlines. Hilton offers what they call a 'double dip' system where they will give you points for your hotel stay AND also put free air miles into your frequent flier account. They are partnered with just about every major airline so finding yours is no big deal.

The World's Greatest Guy has found a great deal for big travelers. Here is the run down.

Starwood Properties, AKA Sheraton, has one of the world's greatest guest reward programs with many partners that help you get free points.

  • $1 spent at the Hotel = 2 Starpoints (3 for Gold members)
  • 1,000 Starpoints can get you an upgrade to a Specialty Room or Suite
  • Stay just 10 times (or 25 nights) a year, and earn Gold status
