“Path of Solitude”
“Path of Solitude”
Walking through a shadowed trail I choose to walk alone.
No wind will sing nor bird take wing
Where the sun has not shone.
In solitude I’m off to where,
No one will see nor hear nor care.
With planned out thinking and centered thoughts, I put my past behind.
Soul searched questions on a secluded path.
Love, Abandonment and Wrath.
Though trying hard as I may No answer will ease my mind.
“Path of Loneliness”
Dead leaves falling from empty trees
Are crushed beneath my feet.
Thorny bushes with lifeless flowers
Try to snag me from my course.
Cold rain from dark hidden clouds
Strikes the exposed skin of my face.
This is my secret garden, my perfect forest.
A place I come, as I am, a place I come alone.
By myself, I am the path less traveled.
